Things to do Around Arizona on July 4th

The Fourth of July is a perfect time to get together with friends and family, enjoy the summer weather, eat delicious food, and reflect on the things that make America great. What better way to celebrate independence than to step out into the community and participate in local activities? Whether you’re looking to spend a traditional Fourth of July weekend, or wanting to try something a little different this year, there are events all across Arizona that will feed your patriotic spirit. 

Bisbee’s 4th of July Events

If you’re looking for an all day family-friendly activity to celebrate 240 years of independence, then spending a day in Bisbee might just do the trick. On July fourth, the city will host five events that locals and visitors alike can attend, such as the coaster races, a fourth of July parade, water park activities, and fireworks at dusk. This all day celebration begins at 7 am. 


Hopi Festival of Arts & Culture

For more than 85 years, the Hopi Festival of Arts & Culture has been an iconic part of July 4th in Northern Arizona. The festival is a celebration of Hopi culture in all its forms, including art, music, and food. This year, the event features a wide range of performances, lectures, and artists. Admission to this weekend long activity begins at $12 for adults and $8 for those ages 11-17. Members of the Museum of Northern Arizona get in for free.

Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo

For thrill-seekers looking for an especially interesting way to spend the Independence Day weekend, this action-packed event, which runs June 28-July 4, won’t disappoint. Boasting of its 129th year, the “World’s Oldest Rodeo” features 665 contestants, with special acts by pros such as Quirt Hunt, Josh Rivinius, and Clint Selvester. Performances will include Bull Riding and Saddle Bronc Riding. The Rodeo will also host a variety of activities, such as a rodeo dance, parades, and the Wild Horse Race. Tickets can be purchased online. 

Schnepf Farms “Celebrate America”

On July fourth, some of the best entertainment for you and your family can be found at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, Arizona. At the Festival Site, just off of Rittenhouse road, visitors can enjoy activities and amusement rides, including miniature golf, a petting zoo, and rollercoasters. Gates open at 4:00 pm and admission is $20. This event will also feature outdoor entertainment, movies, fireworks and food. VIP tickets can also be purchased for $40 per person, and $25 for children ages 3-8.
