Home Cardinals Release New Menu Options For Home Games
August 9, 2018
This Saturday at 7:00pm, the Arizona Cardinals will kick off the football season as they take on the San Diego Chargers in the first pre-season game. This week the Arizona Cardinals unveiled their food menu items available at the University of Phoenix Stadium for the 2018 season and tailgaters should plan to save room for the grub inside the stadium
The clear winner of new food options is the Gridiron Burger Challenge. For $75, fans take on a seven-pound “burger” made up of five 1/3 pound patties, five hot dogs, five brats, 20 slices of cheese, eight pieces of bacon, eight chicken tenders and 12 ounces of fries. Added to that protein of goodness is of course lettuce, pickles and tomatoes all piled onto a 10-inch bun. And let’s not forget that it is also covered in tanker sauce.
If the fan can manage to eat the entire thing in under one hour, they receive a free jersey and their picture goes on the scoreboard. According to chef Sean Kavanaugh, no one behind the scenes has been able successfully mastered the challenge as of yet.
In addition to the massive Gridiron Burger, fans can still enjoy the popular selections of the Cardiac Cards Dog ($14) and Fire Dog ($6). There are still a number of Family Fan Value Packs available. The Cardiac Cards Dog is made up a of a foot-long all beef hot dog wrapped in a Smash Burger patty and then wrapped again in maple peppered bacon. Cotija cheese, pico de gallo and roasted Poblano Queso top it off.
The Fire Dog features nacho cheese, flaming Hot Cheetos and jalapenos all piled on to an all-beef hot dog.
The new items on the menu for 2018 include:
Cheese quesadilla cut in fourths and topped with four tacos available in either red chile beef or pollo asada.
Italian sausage served with sauteed peppers and onions. Smoked and hot varieties are available too.
Gridzilla Burger ($22)
A smaller version of the Gridiron Burger.
Dirty Fry Bird ($21)
One pound of fries covered with queso, pico, jalapenos, topped with six fried chicken legs.
Baked Potato ($8)
Loaded with red chile beef or pollo asada, butter, sour cream, chives and shredded cheese.
Churro Donut Sundae ($11)
Both Vanilla and chocolate ice cream topped with a hot churro donut and served in a waffle cone cup with caramel and chocolate syrup poured over the top.
