Tempe Marketplace and Desert Ridge Marketplace increase space for new retailers

New retailers are on their way to Desert Ridge Marketplace and Tempe Marketplace. The shopping centers will add 27,000 square feet of space to accommodate the new tenants.

The shopping centers are owned and operated by Vestar Development Company. Both shopping centers combined, average 30 million visitors and occupy 2.5 million square feet. They operate smoothly but there’s always room for improvements. The Vice President of Marketing for Vestar Denis Hart had some choice words.

Vice President of Marketing Denise Hart:

“Bringing new retailers, dining establishments and service providers to the centers helps refresh our offerings while enhancing our customers’ shopping and dining experiences,” said Denise Hart, Vice President of Marketing for Vestar. “We continue to deliver fun and exciting events and experiences at our centers, including opportunities for kids to enjoy our splash pads and meet their favorite characters, and for adults to enjoy free live music every Friday and Saturday evening.”

Desert Ridge Marketplace will receive the bulk of the twelve new retailers. The shopping center expects to accommodate seven of the twelve with retailers planning to open soon. The stores excepted to open in September are Amazing Lash (1962 sq. ft.), The Joint (1042 sq. ft.), and The Beauty District (8422 sq.). Kay Jewelers (726 sq. ft.) debuts in August. Midici: The Neapolitan Pizza Company (3500 sq. ft.) opens in December. Nectar Juice Bar (1393 sq. ft.) and Sizzle (1961 sq. ft.) should open by years’ end.

Tempe Marketplace plans to open four new retailers this fall. The two stores opening in October are Toni & Guy (1513 sq. ft.) and Rock Mountain Chocolate Factory (1043 sq. ft.). Spencer’s Gifts (2223 sq. ft.) will open in September
