Sky Harbor named second-best airport in US for food

Hungry? In need of some cooking like mom used to make? Look no further than the Sky Harbor Phoenix Airport.

Since 2012 fresh food cooked by real chefs has become the norm at Sky Harbor. A change in management brought the shift from the basic airport food of bagged chips and nuts to the new, and eclectic variety now available. Enjoy fresh tacos made from local ingredients in terminal 4 at Blanco Tacos and Tequila. Perhaps you want something more classic American? Enjoy a wide variety of sandwiches on freshly baked warm bread at Wildflower Bread Co. Looking for something a bit more romantic for you and your partner? Look no further. Cowboy Ciao with their simple, yet flavorful menu of American classics and their extensive wine list is the perfect place to dine.

You will even be able to enjoy a variety of meals from food trucks which will be opening in terminal 3 this year.

This new mix of fresh food from local ingredients is the reason that sky harbor has been ranked 2nd best food for airports in the whole United States.

Ratings from a number of sources including Zagat and JD Power were weighted. The national statistic and rating company, Reward Expert, then tabulated the results in order to come up with the results. With the planned expansion of new restaurants coming this year this airport will prove to be the best in terms of foods with the increase in fresh and local fare.
