Prescott National Forest To Sell Christmas Tree Permits

Starting in mid-November, over 600 over-the-counted permits will be made available for purchase that allows customers to cut down Christmas trees, the U.S. Forest Service announced.

The permits for Prescott National Forest will cost $20 each and can be purchased at the Bradshaw Ranger and Chino Valley Ranger District offices. The Bradshaw District will begin selling permits on Nov. 17, while Verde Ranger District will start selling them on Nov. 19.

A designated cutting area will be set within Prescott and each permit holder can cut down a tree up to 10 feet tall.


Permits will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis between and will be valid through Dec. 24.

Customers are limited to purchasing one permit per family.
