Phoenix’s Hottest Intersections

In the 1970s and 80s, Uptown Phoenix was the place to be to find the city’s best restaurants, shops, and clubs. Since, the suburbs around Phoenix have developed and taken some of that flavor away from the city’s core. However, the heart of the city has seen a resurgence into prosperity of late.

According to a new poll by real estate and growth experts, the most popular intersection in the Phoenix Area is Camelback Road and Central Avenue. This thriving center full of great restaurants, interesting boutiques, lively office space, and historic neighborhoods all bring plenty of attention to the area.

10 years ago, Camelback and 24th Street was voted the “hottest intersection” in Phoenix by the Urban Land Institute Arizona. But much has changed since 2007. The addition of a light rail and Valley residents desiring more urban lifestyles have brought the party over to Camelback and Central.

Other spots around Phoenix are also worthy of note for their gaining popularity. A few favorites are:

Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway in Downtown Tempe grabbed the second spot in the competition, moving up the status of the intersection from third ten years ago. This particular intersection led the entire US at filling existing office space with technology minded companies between the years of 2014 to 2016.

The corners of Camelback and Scottsdale Roads place third in the contest. At this intersection, it is possible to shop, eat, work, and even purchase a Tesla motorcar without travelling a city block. This is a downgrade from the intersection’s number two ranking just ten years ago, though.

While these are the most popular places around Phoenix, they certainly are not the only great areas. Those living and working in Phoenix know that there are lovely spots to check out all across the cityscape’s boundaries.
