The Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix will soon open their “Electric Desert” art installation to the public. The exhibit is advertised to be fun for the whole family.

The exhibit, opening October 12, will immerse viewers into a show filled with light and sound.

The garden was created by Klip Collective, a company based in Philadelphia. The Electric Desert will use film art that will expand to six areas of the garden. The film will use mapping technology and use abstract imagery. Electric music will also be played.

Klip Collective has also designed an installation in a Pennsylvania garden, Longwood Gardens. The exhibit will last until May 12, 2019.

If you’re a member of The Desert Botanical Gardens, admission is free. For admission only to the Electric Desert, adults 17 years and older will pay $24.95 to $29.95. Children from 13 to 17 will pay $12.95 to $15.95.

For daytime access and to see the Electric desert, adults should expect to pay $34.95 to $39.95, and the price for children will range from $19.95 to $22.95. Children who are three and under receive free admission.

The garden is open from 7 am to 8 pm daily, and it’s open for members starting at 7 am on Wednesday and Sunday. It’s located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway.
