We all know just how high those Arizona temperatures can hit. With the dog days of summer just around the corner, many Phoenix residents will be looking to hit the pool for some heat relief. While there are community pools and water parks all over the state, you can also treat yourself to a daycation at a dozen Arizona resorts.

To get the one-day deal, all you need to do is sign up through the booking website, Resort Pass. With Resort Pass, you choose the resort you want to chill at and the date you would like this happen. From there, you book your daycation and you are good to go!

With Resort Pass, there are many different features you can enjoy that community pools or water parks may not have such as:

That’s the perk of going to an actual resort. Like resort stays, this isn’t the cheapest option to dip in the pool. In fact, prices go up as demand for the establishment increases.

Situated at the base of the Camelback Mountain, this resort touts some reasonable prices. They break down as follows:

The Scott Resort and Spa

As the name implies, this resort is in downtown Scottsdale. Boasting a modern layout, this resort makes you feel like you are keeping up with the Joneses.

Day passes are only available for purchase Sunday through Friday. Saturday is a full price day.

The Wigwam

This historical resort is absolutely breath-taking. It comes with a lot of amenities and it is the cheapest of the bunch for kids.

Prices are:

  • Adults – $30, Kids – $14, Infants – Free

As we mentioned, there’s a ton to do at this resort. Day passes give you access to:

  • Two Pools
  • Two Water Slides
  • Ping Pong
  • Bocce
  • Volleyball
  • Complimentary Valet Parking

As of right now, there are no bookings between June 30th and July 5th.

 In comparison, these days out are not as cheap as some of the Arizona water parks, but it is a much different experience and not far off price-wise. Here’s how some of the price points for the most popular Arizona water parks measure up:

  • Big Surf- General Admission ranges from $23 to $33. Season passes are $50. Discounts are included for:
  • Seniors
  • Military
  • First Responders
  • Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix – General Admission Ranges from $32 to $44. Weekends are more expensive. Plus, parking is $8. You can buy season passes ahead of time online for $65 or at the door for $75. Lastly, weekend prices are higher than weekdays. 
  • Golf and Sunsplash –  There are three different price points here: 
  • General Admission – $32 to $44
  • 12 – 35 months – $5.99
  • Infants – Free

Lastly, you can also opt to go to a community pool this summer if these resorts are too pricey. The city of Phoenix offers free admission to community pools with the “Kool Kids” program. Otherwise, adults pay a $3 entry fee.

At community pools, there may be opportunities for an open swim at no charge or getting swim lessons. So, be sure to keep an eye out for which hours those may happen.
