Houghton Town Center in Tucson Expanding

On Thursday, January 12, 2017 new construction began at the Houghton Town Center near Houghton and Old Vail Roads. The official ground breaking event signals the beginning of an exciting new project which will add three new retail stores to the Houghton Town Center. With this new retail space, Houghton Town Center will be even more helpful at serving the needs of the surrounding community in Tucson.

Regular shoppers will appreciate the addition of 56,000 square feet being added to center of the outdoor shopping mall. This new space will become the retail homes to Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx and Petco. Each store will be located right next door to each other and situated east of their neighbor, the Walmart Super Center. The addition of these new retail stores will be sure to make Houghton Town Center the one stop needed for all of your shopping needs.

Ryan Companies US is the owner, developer and general contractor of the new project and is working along with Diamond Ventures to complete the new retail space by this fall. In a quote from the chairman of the southwest portion of Ryan Companies US, Inc., John Strittmatter mentioned that their team is “eager to further enhance the amenities at Houghton Town Center and look forward to continued growth in Tucson.

With an already impressive list of retail stores open at the Houghton Town Center, the three additional new stores will be sure to fill the void and need for major brand name clothing, household items and all of your pet needs, with the cost only being a fraction of the price. Be sure to keep your eyes open for the grand openings of each store, coming this fall!
