Hamilton Causes Season Pass Sell Out for ASU Gammage

ASU Gammage’s subscriptions for their 2017-2018 Broadway series was a sell out in less than two hours this past Monday. This was the first time in the 52-year history of the Tempe based venue that tickets for the entire season sold out.

However, it’s not shocking when the production they are presenting is the Broadway smash hit, “Hamilton.” The Lin-Manuel Miranda creation began a national tour in March. Starting the tour in San Francisco, the hip-hop musical will open in Tempe on January 30.

Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. last Monday morning. The ASU Gammage website witnessed an influx of hits that created a traffic jam on the server. Patrons were eager to get a hold of the season tickets because it will lock in their chance to see the hottest Broadway show currently going. In addition, season tickets give subscribers access to additional tickets.

Gammage plans to expand their subscription packages. They have started a waiting list where you can sign up at asugammage.com/waitlist.

More single tickets should become available because “Hamilton” will be running over a four week period rather than the typical one. There will be a high demand for these tickets as well, so keep an eye out because single tickets dates are yet to be announced.
