Game of Thrones Inspired Concert To Come to Phoenix

While the next season of Game Of Thrones doesn’t debut for a little less than a year from now, Phoenix fans have a unique opportunity to hold them over on March 26th, 2017.  This fully immersive Game of Thrones concert experience will stop in Phoenix as part of a 28 city tour that not only showcases the music of the show to an 80 piece orchestra, but also brings attendees into the GOT world with 3D set pieces and even live fire effects.

The full orchestra will be conducted by none other than Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi. Produced by Live Nation, the concert will take place at the Talking Stick Resort Arena. Concept photos that have been released of the preliminary scenic designs truly reflect the “live concert experience” that Live Nation has been marketing.  Concertgoers will be surrounded by both the sights and sounds of Westeros.

The concert has its first performance in Kansas City, Missouri in mid-February and closes on April 2nd in Portland, Oregon.  Tickets are currently on sale at livenation.com ranging from $34.75 to $94.75.  Three different tiers of VIP packages are also available which includes perks such as a meet and greet with the composer, a behind the scenes look at GOT costumes, premiere seating, and many other perks that can be found on the LiveNation or Ticketmaster websites.

This mash up of film meets concert is not a new concept, with The Lord Of The Rings Concert successfully touring the globe since 2011, and many major orchestras throughout the country playing their own renditions of famous film and television scores.  The Phoenix Symphony recently performed selections from Final Fantasy and Halo as part of a concert entitled rePLAY – A Video Game Symphony of Heroes.

Even though the GOT concert tour is a limited time engagement, it definitely will help prepare everyone for the next season of one of America’s favorite TV shows thats soon to premiere just months after the concert plays Phoenix.
