Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers using Phoenix-area highways this weekend to make note of the freeways that will be closed.

Eastbound Interstate 10
59th Avenue will be closed Friday at 10:00 p.m. to Saturday at 5:00 p.m. And again on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. to Monday at 5:00 a.m. The on-ramps at 67th and 75th Avenues will also be closed.

Westbound I-10
The on-ramp at 59th Avenue and off-ramp at 67th Avenue will also be closed from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.

These scheduled closures will allow for bridge construction at the Loop 202 interchange. ADOT is advising drivers to plan on different routes, including McDowell Road or Van Buren Street.

I-17
The freeway will be closed in both directions at Glendale Avenue from Friday at 9:00 p.m. to Saturday at noon. I-17 will also be closed in both directions at Northern Avenue from Saturday at 9:00 p.m. to Sunday at noon. This work is for installation work on the wrong-way vehicle detection system.

In addition, southbound I-17 between 7th Avenue and the I-10 split will be narrowed to one lane for maintenance. 

Route 51
Both the on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road on State Route 51 will be closed from Friday at 9:00 p.m. to Saturday at 11 p.m. to allow for resurfacing.
