While some summer days in Phoenix may feel like we are living in Death Valley, nothing can compare to the intense heat that is the average summer day in Death Valley National Park. Death Valley is known as the hottest place on earth and driest place in North America. This area holds the world record highest temperature of 134°F. Average rainfall is less than 2 inches. In the summer months, the average tempertures reach highs of 110°F to over 120°F.

Nestled between the eastern part of California and Nevada, the park is known for Titus Canyon, its a ghost town colorful rocks, and Badwater Basin’s salt flats. It is also North America’s lowest point and is quite a beautiful place.  If you visit, make sure you have plenty of water to drink!
