Downtown Phoenix Now Home To Taco Bell Cantina

The dream of enjoying Mexican fast food with a cold beer is now a reality with the official opening of Taco Bell Cantina in downtown Phoenix.

The first Taco Bell Cantina in Arizona opened on Dec. 23 in the Collier Center complex located at Second and Washington streets.

In the heart of downtown, the location is surrounded by major attractions such as Chase Field, Phoenix Convention Center and Talking Stick Arena.

Slightly more upscale than the classic Taco Bell, Taco Bell Cantina includes an urban restaurant design, a custom menu with shareable appetizers and alcoholic beverages.

The restaurant’s liquor license was approved by the Phoenix City Council at a Dec. 12 meeting.

While the Phoenix location isn’t yet able serve alcohol, all of the well-known Taco Bell menu items are available.

Since the first Taco Bell Cantina opened in 2015 in Chicago, the concept has spread to 15 locations across the country.

A cantina in Fayetteville, Arkansas, that opened in 2017 closed for good Monday.
