Cave Creeks The Horny Toad Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Have you always been curious about the Old West and the life we once lived? Well good news you can now learn all about the Old West alongside the Cowboy Fast Draw association (CFDA). The Horny Toad is celebrating their 40th anniversary this year and The Cowboy Fast Draw Association will be present at the festivities Friday October 28th, Saturday October 29th and Sunday October 30th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The Horny Toad is located at 6738 E. Cave Creek Road in the historic Cave Creek, Arizona.

The Horny Toad proudly boasts being the oldest original restaurant in Cave Creek, Arizona. They have been the location of several Old West movies and photo shoots through the last 40 years. It is owned by the Price Family with Jeff Price currently managing it. The Horny Toad has earned multiple awards for their food and desserts including their famous fried chicken, secret homemade BBQ sauce and Strawberry Shortcake among many others. As for the Cowboy Fast Draw Association their members are known as the Arizona Gunslingers and one of their primary goals is to educate and demonstrate safe and proper handling of firearms. The Gunslingers will be present at the Horny Toad’s anniversary on all 3 days participating in different presentations and hands on experiences for audience members. On Friday, October 28th and Sunday, October 30th The Gunslingers will be available at the all-day event hosting a town alley for the general public. For a fee of $5 you can try your hand at fast draw under the guidance of trained professionals for 10 rounds. On Saturday, October 29th The Gunslingers will be shooting it out with the goal of winning a special jackpot – you won’t want to miss out on all of the excitement.
