Arizona Voting Numbers Increase Before November Election

Voter registration numbers fluctuate in each state before and after each election cycle and Arizona is no different. The 2016 general election saw a decline in Arizona voter registrations. However, after more than a year of declining voter registrations, the number of those registering to vote has increased in Arizona. The 14,000 registered voters has shown an increased interest ahead of the November election.

Collectively, across the state of Arizona, there are more than 3.6 million residents who have registered to vote. The numbers show that 1,268,748 are registered as Republican, 1,106,675 are Democrat and 1,250,879 are not registered with either of the two parties.

Arizona politicians are encouraged by the rise in the rise in voter registration. One political figure who has publicly expressed optimism is Republican Secretary of State, Michelle Reagan. In an official statement Reagan said, “It’s great to see enrollment continue to rise.” Reagan stated that she is “hopeful” that participation in the November elections will continue to increase.


2016 was the last time that Arizona saw an increase in residents registering to vote. Politically minded residents and politicians alike are hoping that the numbers will continue to rise around the state of Arizona.
