Apple Unveils New Products at Keynote

On September 12th, apple announced the release of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus, iPhone X, the Apple Watch Series Three, and the Apple TV 4K. The iPhone 8 and 8 plus features a new durable water and dust resistant glass and aluminum design in space gray, black, or gold colorways. 4.7 and 5.5inch retina HD displays, A11 smart chip, 4k video up to 60fps and, slo-mo video at 1080p up to 240fps. The 8 plus features a 12-megapixel camera that features the new portrait mode with portrait lighting, allowing users to capture images with a shallow depth-of-field, and up to five different lighting styles. Both the iPhone 8, and 8 plus will have wireless charging capabilities, and the new IOS 11. The iPhone 8 will start priced at $699, and the 8 plus at $799. 

The Apple Watch Series 3, features GPS and cellular connectivity, up to 18 hours of battery life across LTE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The watch will be available in black, silver, and space gray. The apple watch Nike+ will also have a platinum/black Nike sport band that accents each colorway apart of series 3. Non-Cellular versions of each watch start off at $329, and cellular versions start at $399. The apple series 1 will drop to $249.

The new Apple TV 4K will support 4K, and HDR content. Users will be able to watch their favorite sports, movies, and television shows up to 4K HDR video quality. The Apple TV 4K will start at $179.


The iPhone X, “the future of the smartphone” will feature an all-glass design, a 5.8inch super retina display, TrueDepth Camera System, Face ID, Animoji’s, wireless charging capabilities, A11 Bionic Chip with Neural Engine. The iPhone X will also be water and dust resistant. The facial recognition system can be used by users to unlock the device, pay, and authenticate using Face ID.

The TrueDepth camera system features a 7-megapixel front camera that enables Face ID. 12-megapixel rear camera with dual optical image stabilization, an aperture up to f/1.8. A new color filter, deeper pixels, and an improved Apple-designed image signal processor that delivers advanced pixel processing, wide color aperture, faster autofocus in low light, and better HDR photos. New quad LED true tone flash offers twice the uniformity of light and includes slow sinc, resulting in more uniformly lit backgrounds and foregrounds. 4K video up to 60fps, and, slo-mo at 1080p up to 240fps. Animoji’s (animated emoji’s) that allow users to send Animoji’s that imitate user’s facial movements through the TrueCamera, and allows users to send the Animoji’s as messages through texts. 

The iPhone X will be available in silver and space gray colorways. Prices start at $999. The iPhone X will be available for pre-order beginning October 27th, and available in stores beginning Friday, November 3rd
